What factors give people in exile a sense of security, of having really arrived in their host country? What are the prerequisites? What do both sides need to do to ensure success—refugees as well as members of the host society? Young refugees share their thoughts in this “Alphabet of Arrival” created in the course of a workshop at the Stiftung Exilmuseum Berlin and the We Refugees Archive. We warmly thank İsa Artar, Kefah Ali Deeb, Alaa Muhrez, Widad Nabi, Ibrar Mirzai, and Isa Nazeeha Saeed for their participation.
The Alphabet of Arrival was also shown in 2021 as part of the container exhibition ZU/FLUCHT on the grounds of the emerging Exilmuseum at Anhalter Bahnhof.
