Network Deutsches Historisches Museum (German Historical Museum)

The Deutsches Historisches Museum (German Historical Museum) in Berlin (Zeughaus) dedicates its permanent exhibition to German history from the Middle Ages to the fall of the Wall. The cooperation with the We Refugees Archive exists on three levels. On the one hand, it shares with the online service LeMO (Lebendiges Museum Online) certain contemporary witness accounts that deal with flight during the Nazi era. On the other hand, information and documents about Vilnius as a temporary city of refuge are taken over from the We Refugees Archive in LeMO. Furthermore, there is a cooperation with the DHM in 2020 and 2021 in connection with the special exhibition “Report from Exile – Photographs by Fred Stein“. Together, digital workshops on the subject of flight and migration in the past and present are offered.
