The Maison de la culture yiddish – Medem bibliothèque (House of Yiddish Culture – Medem Library) is the largest and most important institution of its kind in Europe and functions as a global place of intellectual exchange, with its headquarters in Paris. The institute emerged from a merger of two Yiddish cultural organizations in Paris, founded in the milieu and for the Eastern European Jewish migrant community in Paris. Its goal is to preserve, cultivate, and disseminate the Yiddish linguistic and cultural heritage through dynamic and creative mediation and innovative academic approaches. The Maison de la culture yiddish – Medem bibliothèque is an official partner of We Refugees Archive in Paris.
