Network POLIN Museum

The POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews (Muzeum Historii Żydów Polskich, POLIN) in Warsaw was partially opened on 19 April 2013 on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the beginning of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising. The museum’s permanent exhibition is devoted to the history of Polish Jews from the Middle Ages to the present day, curates temporary special exhibitions and runs an educational and scientific center with several digital projects. POLIN is a long-standing partner of We Refugees Archive. His digital project Stories of Refuge shared with We Refugees Archive, among other things, the flight history of the Polish Jewish Weyland family, who fled Nazi persecution from their home Łódź via Vilnius to Japan in September 1939 and finally settled in Australia.
